I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Plus it's my first time drawing this version of Batman.

My Review:
(Spoiler Alert)
So unlike Avengers I did see this in a resonable amount of time. And... I liked more than Batman Begins and I think I may have enjoyed it more than Dark Knight. You see I'm a Burton Batman fan and I've enjoyed these Nolan Batman films but none of them capture Batman to me as well as Burton did in his two films. Anyways so what were my problems with this film? Well the biggest problem is that I never felt that Batman was truly broken in his film, it needed a scene (or scenes) of him in total dispare in the pit. Anne Hathaway was okay as Catwoman, I still think that she's cute in the same way a younger female cousin is and I never found her sexy and I realize that she is quite close to the comics but honestly I prefer what they did with her in Batman Returns. Also the plot was rather predicable but I believe it's more a case of you know whats coming if you know comics because this was basically Knightfall and No Man's Line with a little bit of Frank Miller's stuff but in a blender. And ofcourse as I'm sure you could guess from the above comic, Bale's (terrible Easwood impression) voice which is either one or two things. Either Bale is a bully and demanding that he use he voice or Nolan is the most stubborn person in the world to look at this and think ya keep using that voice that EVERYONE has made fun of. Other have complained that this one isn' as realistic as the others but for me I think that's why I liked this better. I've always had a problem seeing Batman as realistic because it makes the whole thing seem kinda sillier and so seeing that they were portraying a comic book character as a comic book was refreshing. Also about Bane, again I think he was better than Heath Ledger's joker (mind you I'm a member of team Nicholson when it comes to that) but ya Iwould have rather seen Bane right from the Knightfall storyline but I thought they did him well. All the side characters are good, it was nice to see Lucius Fox interact with the villians, Michael Caine is good as always and personally I think they should have ended the film on him. If there was a storyline I could have taken out it would have been John Blake (aka Robin) because I could never really give a fuck about him. Also final nitpick REALLY, REALLY THEY COULDN'T WORK IN A 'BELOVED' LINE FOR TALIA?!! I've been waiting for them to add her since Batman Begins and that's it?!
Oh well I look forward to this new reboot even if it is a bit soon.
I have to admitt even though Batman 89 and Batman Returns are my favorite Batman films they are unforunatley in the same series as the Shumacker films and thus Nolan's trilogy is the more consistant series and technically the best series though I still like the Burton films better.

I give Dark Knight Rises 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

The Dark Knight Rises is owned by Warner Bros.
